Had a little mooch about and didn't find a video thread so here goes...
I've been working on my progens recently. It has been getting a bit repetitive so I decided to try to record the game on my laptop. Dual logged with fraps running too, gotta admit the old laptop does chug a bit even with all non essential apps and processes stopped.
Anyway I got something that I think is okay. Far too many game videos are just a blur. This was recorded at 1280x720 (HD format) in 32bit color, the same resolution as my desktop, at 24 fps using Fraps. Fraps makes huge files, my latest is just over 12 minutes long and weighs in at 3.5Gb. After running it through VirtualDub and compressing with a x264 codec at the same resolution that becomes 400Mb.
So here are my burnt offerings, hope that you like them, please feel free to comment and I hope that you will post your own EnB videos here too with a brief description of what you did and the tools you used.
My first attempt (124Mb)
You may notice the combat spam being generated in private channel 100, this is because I'm using AutoHotkey the windows scripting/automation tool to enhance my EnB experience and control both toons at the same time. It also has a groovy little command that removes the window border and title bar from my EnB windows so that they look like i'm running the game full screen without loosing the Windows fast switching functionality. I've also renamed the client windows individually so Kleer's is named Kleer and Laphroaig's is named Laphroaig, so I can ensure that the AutoHotkey output is sent to the correct client. I will probably detail some of the more useful features I've discovered in AutoHotkey later in another topic.

Hello,
On the road again today so I'm going to be absent from E&B for a day or two. If the withdrawal gets too much I can fire up these videos to remind me what I have to look forward to when I get back.
After a fair bit of experimentation I think I've chosen a fairly good trade off between file size and video quality, see what you think.
You may notice that I've replaced the status/confirmation dings and bleeps with some "Android" noise sound effects stolen from AO. Looked for some decent WAV. files but didn't really find anything useful so used these, better than the windows event selection in the Media folder.
The AutoHotKey (AHK) script i'm using to control both toons is now on version V2.9, I've included a list of Keys at the beginning of the script that appears in chat when it is first loaded. Mainly due to going back to Focus yesterday after a week or so working on the Progens and finding myself totally lost and the work I had done so far pretty much unintelligible. Immediately went back and documented everything I had done with the Progen so when I return from this hiatus hopefully it will still make sense.
