Conclusion is that, no matter what ammo PW's use....TE's are superior..in every way..(and better looking too)... PS: I submit the picture in my avatar as proof of this...clearly one can see that the Progen face is terribly disfigured |

| k, did some timed testing.
equipment at the time of testing : Brimstone ballista, fott, reaver, bile, fotm, spitter, PB, Sting, normandy, CFB, Pavis, basilisk, taniwah's Pride.
With -55.9 chem debuff (basil) and chem ammo where possible a lvl 55 viscious fish takes an avarage of 40 secs to kill. With -26 imp debuff (taniwah) and impact ammo in all guns a lvl 55 viscious fish takes an average of 30 secs to kill. I think numbers could be otherwise if there was chemical ammo available for Balista and Spitter. Why the average? They gave fish deflects (rally) which they sometimes use.
Tried it several times to get a good average and impact seems the way. Well at least for tengu that is. I'm off to Antares to test some more.
To be continued... | |

| Numiah, newb progen speak here... Does grav link factor into improving impact ammo at all? And while I know plasma debuff for progens is rough, would it be worthwhile to send my JE out with you for a Chim 8 plasma debuff for comparison? (I'm short on skill points or I'd be using Chim 9). | |

| If only I could get my hands on a tatsu.
Gravlink is at lvl 0 on my char. I had id maxed in st3 but there was no impact debuff that came with it. Just immobilization.

| Okay, tried in Antares on the 60 volts. (have no deflects) Impact and chem don't make any difference when it comes to killtime.
Conclusion, it depends on the mobs deflect skills. Which makes it more challenging on finding out what mob uses what deflects and bring ammo accordingly.

Not quite sir. Fish have rally now and it does deflect the incoming damage. Same goes for Sundivers in VT. And this is where the difference in DPS comes in. I've noticed a significant difference in DPS on Tengu while using chemical or impact. So I guess there must be a different value used on the deflect ability's, otherwise it would have stayed the same DPS despite the deflects. Trick is, that the Basilisk does -59.9 and the Taniwah only has -29. So you'd expect chemical to win. For some reason it's canceled out by the higher DPS from impact. Which on it's turn should output the exact same DPS. See : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. It all has the same DPS. (bare) Why do I get a 10 sec gain per kill on Tengu when using only -29 impact compared to -59 chem? Weird huh? Of course MOB's skills, deflects and what ever aren't fully operational. And that is most likely an understatement.
